BOGOTA, Colombia - Jenn Boisselle of Brandon, Fla., and Kristie Petravich of West Palm Beach, Fla., put the United States on top of the leaderboard after one of two squads of doubles at the 2009 Pan American Bowling Confederation Youth Championships.

The duo combined to shoot 2,351, an average of 195.92, and leads Puerto Rico by 34 pins. Petravich totaled 1,189, while Boisselle added 1,162. Their teammates, Christine Bator of Warren, Mich., and Brittni Hamilton of Webster, N.Y., are currently competing on the final squad of doubles.

After the first of three squads in boys doubles, Mexico's Jorge Ramos and Nestor Almodovar lead with 2,305. Canada's Guillaume Trahan and Mathieu Beaudoin are second with 2,238.

Junior Team USA's Jake Peters of Decatur, Ill., and Chris Pierson of Waukesha, Wis., are currently competing on the second squad. Geoffrey Young of Denton, Texas, and Daniel Spink of St. Louis, Mo., will bowl at 7 p.m. Central.
