The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) announced today it is hosting five youth bowling clinics to take place at PBA Regional Tour stops on Aug. 22, in conjunction with National Bowling Week.

The clinics, which will feature exempt bowlers from the Denny’s PBA Tour along with PBA Regional Tour stars, will run one day prior to the start of PBA Regional Tour events at each of the respective sites.

Randy Pedersen and Craig Tuholski will lead the PBA West/Northwest Region’s youth clinic taking place at Sparetime Family Fun Center (801-825-1621) in Roy, UT, on Friday, August 22 at 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The clinic is running in conjunction with the PBA West/Northwest Storm Open. Tuholski received his first career exemption after finishing second in the 2008 PBA Tour Trials and Pedersen has won 13 PBA titles and also serves as color analyst for the PBA Tour on ESPN.

Chris Loschetter and Eugene McCune will lead the PBA Central Region’s youth clinic taking place at Georgetown Bowl (260-749-9610) in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Friday, Aug. 22, from 5:30-7 p.m. The clinic is running in conjunction with the 23rd Annual Bud Light Fort Wayne Open. Loschetter is coming off a 2007-08 Denny’s PBA Tour campaign which saw him finish eighth in the PBA World Point Rankings. McCune owns one PBA title and was 17th in last season’s World Point Rankings.

In the Midwest Region, PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber and fellow exempt bowler Sean Rash, will be at Premiere Bowling and Entertainment (515-263-1700) in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, for the region’s youth clinic, Friday, August 22 from 4-5 p.m., held in conjunction with the PBA Midwest Region Premiere Bowling & Entertainment Open. Weber owns 34 Denny’s PBA Tour titles and a record-tying eight Majors, while Rash owns four career titles including one major, in just four seasons.

The South Region will be at Royal Z Lanes (803-788-9208) in Columbia, S.C., for the Columbia Open where two-time Denny’s PBA Tour titlist Ritchie Allen and Jason Sterner who finished first in the 2007-08 PBA South Region, will host a clinic Friday, August 22 from 4-5:30 p.m. South Regional star Ronnie Horton will also be assisting.

The Southwest Region rounds out the group with the Greenville Open at DB’s Sports Grill and Bowling (903-455-2065) in Greenville, Texas.
