Went this sunday and tried bowling three games with the knee at about 95%. Went 167, 247, 201 for a 615 series. Can't wait for Fall to get here.

Well I bowled last night without a brace on my knee, 199, 207, 211 for a 617. No pain just a little discomfort when I woke up this morning, so life is good.
I also climbed for the first time in many weeks yesterday. Climbed 280' and worked all day on the structure for 7.5 hours. I wasn't as fast as before, but I made the climb and worked with one of my newer towerhands. I surprised him when I started putting on my harness and said I was his other set of top hands. He thought he was going to have to carry me all day. I actually moved around a little faster than he did out on the mounts, which really surprised me. Hopefully by Sept. I will be able to spend three days a week up top and get back into some kind of shape. These 2 months on short duty have been killing me.

Not fitter just to stubborn to sit still and not work. I don't want to stand around and try to explain everything to my employees so I get out there and show them.

Bowled again on Saturday, trying to get ready for Fall. Best practice all Summer 255, 209, 203, for a 667. I am really excited about this Fall now.

Good on you, you show them when the fall season starts. I am sure you will with scores like that.

Practiced last night to get ready for next Wednesday, and all I can say is "WOW". I bowled 4 games and shot really well. 217,204,209,222 and that was during open bowl with kids on the lanes to both sides.
How are things on the other side of the pond? Have you started League yet?

Well we start in 3 weeks so I hope I can get scores like you. I would be happy to get my first 600 series in league I have had it in practice but never in league, but good on you that was good bowling.

Thanks. When I look at your location I always get a chuckle from it because my wife was living in Tewksbury Ma. when iI met her. We would also go for sunday trips to a fishing town on the coast called Gloucester and have seafood for dinner.

Hey its a small world except gloucester here is quite a way from the sea but we moved here from a small scottish fishing village called Lossiemouth right up on the east cost of Scotland.

My wife is from a military family that lived in Europe for about 8 years when she was young. We talk about going to England and Ireland for vacation after our sons have left the house. I would like to visit Normandy Beach myself ,but that is of no interest to her.

There are a lot of places uk and europe that are very sad places and that is one. One that makes my spine tingle is Culloden in Scotland where bonnie prince charlie was defeted and another was the Falkland islands (I was posted there when I was in the RAF). But if you do get the chance you should go for it as you wont be disapointed.
