View Full Version : Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour Player Milestones Heading Into 2009-10 Season

As the 2009-10 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour begins on ESPN October 25 many Tour veterans will be approaching some noteworthy career milestones. Here’s a look at some of those milestones (data as of May 1, 2009). Money earned in PBA regional tournaments is included in career earnings:

Patrick Allen – Needs to compete in eight tournaments to reach his 200th Tour event. He needs $7,000 to reach $1.3 million in career earnings. Needs a U.S. Open title to complete Triple Crown. (The PBA Triple Crown consists of the U.S. Open, PBA Championship and Tournament of Champions.)

Brad Angelo – After winning his first title in 2008-09, he needs to compete in 10 tournaments this season to reach his 150th Tour event. Needs to earn $36,600 to reach $600,000 in career earnings.

Chris Barnes – Needs seven tournaments to reach 250 for his career. With two more television appearances he will reach 70 for his career. Needs to win PBA Championship for triple crown. Needs to earn $13,300 to reach $1.7 million in career earnings.

Parker Bohn III – Has competed in 620 Tour events and needs $22,500 to reach $2.8 million in career earnings. Needs two more titles to tie Mark Roth and Pete Weber for third on the all-time list at 34.

Jason Couch – Needs to compete in 16 tournaments to reach 400 for his career. Needs $53,500 to reach $1.7 million in career earnings.

Norm Duke – Needs to compete in 17 events to reach 600 for his career. Needs three more television appearances for 110 in his career. Also needs two more titles to tie Roth and Pete Weber for third on the all-time list at 34.

Steve Jaros – Has competed in 466 Tour events and needs one more TV appearance to reach 40 for his career.

Tommy Jones – Needs PBA Championship win to complete Triple Crown.

Jack Jurek – Needs seven more tournaments to reach 300 for his career.

Mika Koivuniemi – Has competed in 203 Tour events. Needs to win PBA Championship and Tournament of Champions titles to complete Grand Slam. (Grand Slam consists of U.S. Open, PBA Championship, Tournament of Champions and USBC Masters.)

Doug Kent – Is 13 tournaments short of 450 for his career and needs $28,400 to reach $1.5 million in career earnings.

Brian Kretzer – Needs to earn $26,700 to reach $500,000 in career earnings.

Chris Loschetter – Needs three tournaments to reach 100 for his career and $13,000 to reach the $400,000 career earnings mark.

Mike Machuga – Won his second career title in 2008-09 and needs $6,800 to reach $500,000 in career earnings.

Wes Malott – The reigning PBA Player of the Year needs three TV appearances to reach 30 and just over $40,000 to reach $800,000 in career earnings.

Amleto Monacelli – Has competed in 585 Tour events. His fifth-place finish in last season’s U.S. Open marked his 100th television appearance.

Eugene McCune – Needs three tournaments to reach 500 for his career and $21,500 to reach $800,000 in career earnings.

Mike Scroggins – Is two tournaments shy of 350 for his career and needs four TV appearances to reach 40 for his career.

Ryan Shafer – Made his 50th television appearance and competed in his 500th tournament in 2008-09. Is just $7,500 short of reaching $1.5 million in career earnings.

Robert Smith – Reached 25 television appearances in 2008-09. Needs just under $6,000 to reach $800,000 in career earnings.

Brian Voss – Has competed in 629 Tour events. Needs five TV appearances to reach 100 for his career.

Pete Weber – Needs to compete in 17 tournaments to reach 700 for his career and needs three more TV appearances to reach 130. Needs one title to take over third (alone) on all-time list win list. Needs to earn $82,000 to reach $3.4 million in career earnings. Needs to win USBC Masters to complete Grand Slam and Super Slam (also includes Touring Players Championship).

Walter Ray Williams Jr. – Williams leads active Tour players with most events competed in at 705. Reached the 175-TV appearance mark in 2008-09, which is a Tour record. The all-time PBA win (45) and earnings leader ($4.1 million) needs to win Tournament of Champions to complete Triple Crown, Grand Slam and Super Slam. Needs a title during the 2009-10 season to extend his record for most consecutive years with at least one title to 17.

Ernie Schlegel holds the all-time record for most PBA Tour events at 826.

Danny Wiseman – Has competed in 481 Tour events and needs two more TV appearances to reach 50 for his career. Is just $1,400 short of $1.5 million in career earnings.
