Had bunion surgery 6 Nov. and just started walking 4 days ago, I gotta give the doc. credit "cause he did say 3-4 months before I could bowl and I believe him now. After 2 months of not using my foot or ankle it's like walking on a rock. Although I'm in tennis shoes and full weight bearing, I still walk like Frankenstein, I guess it's going to take a while to teach my foot to work again. Good news though is that now I can stand at the foul line and trow the ball instead of sitting down. I remember when I first started bowling the best I could do for a while was 80, and I wasn't happy, but now I stood at the foul line and threw 6 games in my lesson and was tickled to death to have an 80 average. And that was just working on my swing with a R.G. Mars not enough power to get the spares on the right side. I figure it'll be Feb. before I get back to league but at least it's almost over. Good luck and good bowling Bill

Speaking from experience the biggest issue to start will be stamina. Once you start back bowling with a full approach it will not take long to get back in form.

Thanks Stormed 1, you know this kind of reminds me of being a kid waiting for Christmas- you know it's coming and you just can't wait. How's your foot doing?
