It's a good ball. Basically it's Columbia's answer to the Ebonte Tornado,Brunswick Power Groove and Storm's Tropical. It is stronger than most expect due to it having a stronger cover than expected

I'll have to check with my distributer. Many times is just because they discontinued one color to replace with another.

Actually the Scout is supposed to be like the Tornadoes isn't it? I would rate the Tropicals and Jazz's together though.

The Scout that is available since the Ebonite buyout of Columbia has just a single pancake weightblock so it's a step down. The Jazz line replaced the scout line

You can't go wrong with it especially if you get it at a good price. Just keep in mind to add the cost of drilling to what you pay for it to be sure it's a "good price" when done

How much would it cost to get it drilled? My guess is that it costs $130-$150 at the shop, the savings you get by buying it online might not be enough to warrant doing so. If it's $50 drilling you could save $20-$40, but the benefit of buying through the shop could include free surface adjustments/resurfaces to a certain point and mostly if something is defective with the ball, you probably won't get it warrantied.

well the're $80.00 with free shipping at bowling.com so at $60.00 shipped is'nt a bad price. but it would still depend on the total cost to drill with grips etc. included vs what the shop would charge you if they got it
