Found this chart-

Click here for Performance based on skill (http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1778/performancebasedonskill.jpg)

Here are two more things to go with this.

This is the article "Don't settle for being average" from ABC's "American Bowler" Magazine Winter 2003 issue.

Which had this same information and a little more in a different format.

In what way do you not agree with it? All the information is based on measurements from the cats machines.

Thank you, thank you for posting that chart. I've been looking for that specific chart for a long time after working with Mike Jasneau and CATS in Reno.

Keep in mind the data in the chart is based on an interview sheet the bowlers fill out before doing a CATS session and I'm not sure the data is normalized. However, there should be a large enough representative sample to assume the chart won't be off by more than about 5%.

Don't get too caught up in the numbers. You don't need to have a ball speed of 18.5 to average 220+. It's simply that most bowlers who average 220+ have that type of ball speed.

In my case as a power stroker my ball speed is high but my avg is lower then the chart, way lower. On first look and not having all the info needed to really make a sound judgement I just looked at the chart and commented off the top of my head.
