PBA BOWLING GAME NOMINATED FOR SOFTWARE AWARD
Seattle, WA - 9/5/2008

The PBA Bowling™ mobile video game was recently nominated in Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine’s Eighth annual Best Software Awards for Windows Mobile software in the Sports Games category.

PBA Bowling™ was created by Concrete Software, Inc. and is among 958 finalists to be nominated by a panel of experts.

Concrete Software®, Inc., a leader in innovative mobile content, and the PBA teamed up in June 2008 to produce and distribute a mobile bowling game under the PBA brand.

PBA Bowling has been built with cutting edge technology including 3D graphics and mobile motion technology (the option to use real motion with the mobile handset to roll the bowling ball). Motion technology utilizes your mobile device's camera to detect movements and emulates a real throw, similar to the Wii remote. The game also includes 11 of the top PBA bowlers including today’s top stars like Norm Duke, Pete Weber and Tommy Jones.

"Working closely with the PBA has allowed us to build this exciting and innovative mobile game,” said Concrete Software CEO Keith Pichelman. “We are very pleased with the results and excited about the latest awards nomination."

The experts nominated the top software from Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine’s exhaustive 5292 product Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories. From June 25 through July 16, 2008 the nominations were made available for public feedback, and many suggestions were adopted.

Throughout August, a team of 94 Windows Mobile experts from around the world evaluated the software nominees in 153 Pocket PC categories and 41 Smartphone categories.
Finalists will be announced on-line at the end of September and winners in October. Finalist and winner information will be published in the Oct-December issue of Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine.
