i was just wondering how tight your thumb hole should be? mine is snug enough to where i don't have to squeeze the ball but not tight enough to hold the ball just with my thumb inserted in it. someone had told me that it should be tight enough to hold it just with your thumb with the ball hanging to your side. what is your take on that bit of information??

What I was told is this: the ball should come off your thumb if the thumb is completely relaxed, and if your thumb isn't completely relaxed - the ball should not be able to come off. I'm still searching for that proper fit myself.

As long as you don't feel like your thumb falls out of the ball when you swing it, or that you hang up in it, it is probably fine. Personally, I prefer to have all of my equipment big enought that I need 2 pieces of tape or maybe only 1. This gives room to swell if you have a lot of games to bowl. I thought that I should drill all my thumb holes should be perfect, so I made them perfect. I took them to Nationals in Las Vegas, and my thumb swelled from the heat enough that I didn't fit in them. If the hole is so big that you need more than two pieces of tape, I would make the pro shop guy redo it.
