PBA stars Sean Rash and Bill O’Neill participated in NBA star Dwyane Wade’s first ever “Young, Fly and Flashy Weekend” Gatorade Bowling Event on Sept. 5 at 10 Pin Bowling Lounge in Chicago, Ill.

The Charity bowling fundraiser was hosted by Miami Heat star Wade and fellow Team USA Basketball member Chris Paul, who is also an avid bowler.

All proceeds benefited “CeaseFire,” a new intervention program created by the Chicago Project to reduce violence and particularly shootings in the Chicago area public schools. The Wade’s World Foundation also provides support to community-based organizations that promote education, health and social skills for children in at-risk situations. Wade was inspired to start the foundation because he wanted to give back to underserved communities and support issues of purpose.

The PBA also supported Deion Branch's charity Foundation 'Charitabowl" on Sept. 9 at Lucky Strike Lanes in Bellevue, Wash. The PBA donated bowling balls, jerseys, pins and goodie bags to the event which raised money for his charity Deion Branch 83 and Meningitis research.

Paul and Wade will also be participating in the upcoming Chris Paul Celebrity PBA Doubles Invitational presented by the brands of Ebonite International on Sept. 20 in Winston-Salem, N.C., which will be benefitting Paul’s charity, the CP3 Foundation. Paul and Wade and three other NBA players will be teamed up with PBA stars Chris Barnes, Tommy Jones, Jason Couch, Doug Kent and Mitch Beasley which will be taped by ESPN and aired on Oct. 19 to kickoff the 2008-09 PBA season. It will mark the first time professional athletes from other sports will partner with professional bowlers for a bowling event with a dedicated telecast.
