I have heard that the mongoose is good but i practice with Storm Xtra hook wrist guard. I can vouch for that product just because it helps me with my release. I just got it recently and i only use it at the begining of my practice to get a "feel" for what a good release should "feel" like then i take it off and try to mimic that same "feel" with out it. Its been working out pretty good so far. The only drawback or con about it and probably any other brace is spare shooting is a challenge and those corner pins like the 10 is gonna be near impossible to hit with the brace, atleast that has been the case with me. Then again i havent tried the brace with my plastic ball so that has not been fully tested yet.

if you are having a release problem.....stay down at the foul line and don't raise up. you will get all of your lift by staying down at the line. if you raise up, you will have a tendancy of just letting the ball go with no lift.

well, i started using one about 25 years ago and then quit bowling for 23 years. when i was a kid it made me throw the ball so much better that i had to start using one when i started bowling again back in back in april.

i think its the best thing out there. i can bowl without it but my wrist will start hurting. i finished my first league back at 212 and im at 216 in my first winter scratch league. it really makes you release the ball correctly. it keeps your wrist and fingers straight and when your thumb comes out your fingers and wrist are still in the same position unlike a lot of people the have a limp wrist at their release.

maybe you can just try one out at a pro shop?

The Lifter is by far the best teaching tool when it comes to release. It's not a crutch like a Robby Revs or Pro Release, it actually teaches you muscle memory, so you will still lift on the ball even if you take it off. I would definitely recommend you get one!
