This last issue was rife with errors, from "torcher" to misplaced quotations, wrong names, and the characterization of my old 'hood as "the baddest part of town." The editor took the first missive I sent in good humor, though.

I take it that that the context did not imply the '70s slang meaning of "baddest"?

I haven't even seen a bowlers journal in years, let alone read one.

Yes, I'm a geek. And one with a grasp of English! They are seriously understaffed.

Yes, and I agree, they seem to be getting sloppier, in the July issue they listed the ball chart as June and June on the right side of the page. One thing that ticked me off good was the Sep. ball reviews, when they reviewed the Cruel they left out the "when to use" section of the review. I guess people no longer take pride in their work, what a shame.

One of the biggest questions is, When will it arrive in the mail? Some months it's in the middle of the month, and sometimes it's the first of the month. Last month I got it right before Thanksgiving, and got Decembers issue the Saturday after. It's kind of like getting your Sunday paper on thursday and then again on Sunday.
