Heels! :O

Howdy everyone!

I have a couple of questions regarding heels. I recently got me a fancy new pair of Brunswick shoes. I really like them except one glaring problem, the heel is way to thick. It makes it feel like I am walking on dress shoes. Luckily for me, it is interchangeable, so it would seem to be an easy problem to fix, and I had a couple ideas of doing so:

1) Buy a new heel- This would seem to be the obvious solution, but in my quest, I can't find anything that shows me the height of a heel. Another question here would be if Dexter heels would work on Brunswick shoes. I see no reason why they wouldn't if they are cut to fit. 2) Legality Question- My friend is willing to give me a heel that would seem to work fine, except it slides WAY too much. I figure it would be perfect if I put a couple pieces of bowlers tape on the heel, but I don't know if that is legal. If anyone can point me in the right direction of the rule book, that would be helpful!

3) Shave the one I have down- Is this stupid?

Hi! Brunswick bowling shoes are made by Dexter, so yes, the heels are usable for either brand. Do you know what heel it is you are currently using? I wouldn't add tape to my sole as if it peels up and residue gets on the approach. Bad news and probably illegal. And if you shave the one you have down, you won't get a consistent slide. Buying a different heel is the best option.
