Since I was laid off a few weeks ago, I decided to enter a PBA Regional event just to see how I stack up against other bowlers. I'm not a member; so I'm at the mercy of being entered by way of post mark date to fill spots. Its always been a dream of mine to bowl in the big show, but I think I will try this as a stepping stone to see what it is like. I imagine they use a tougher shot. What kinds of things will I expect to see during one of these competitions? I know they have a meeting for first time competitors, but I would like to get a little heads up from anyone thats ever bowled in one before.
