Hello all,

I was looking for a good bowling forum and came across this one. It looks very good so I've been lurking for a while and finally joined.

I grew up bowling and was in youth leagues from about age 7 to 17. At that point I stopped bowling, mainly because of school obligations and just never made it back other than occasional open bowling with friends.

About a year ago I started open bowling more frequently and two weeks ago started a new league. I bought new equipment since my 18 year old ball didn't fit properly and I didn't think it was worth the expense to put any money into it.

This last year I've bowled far better than I ever did before. Not sure why. I typically average in the 190s in open bowling.

We have only had 2 weeks of league bowling buy my average so far is 210 which I'm pretty excited about. I don't think I'll maintain that the whole season but high 190's or a low 200 average would be fine with me for my first season back.

I bowled a 268 and a 699 series last night. It was a little frustrating since it was 1 ten pin away from a 300 and a 700 which I've never had but they were both high scores for me and both sanctioned so I can't really complain too much.
