...or malware or whatever you wanna call it. XP Total Security 2011 installed itself while I was looking at Google images, and now is stuck on my HP and it blocks access to nearly every application on my PC.

>.> I'm about to throw my PC in a ditch. I've had too much trouble with this one.

It's not that big of a deal. Reformat and install your Operating System. RULE OF THUMB...backup, backup, backup. I have backup's dating back to 2003. Portable hard drives and DVD's are your best friends. Norton Internet Security or 360 is worth the investment.

Actually I was searching for funny food pictures, like on the site My Food Looks Funny. It's amazing what creativity some people have.

System Restore seemed to do the trick, and now that MalwareBytes will run, I'm scanning my PC for any remnants.

Only had to use system restore once. Computer lost power while I was running regedit. :D

Hey Wolfy, sorry to hear about the virus, hope very thing's back to normal. I use a MAC, so I can only imagine what it was like. Good luck in the future.

Thanks for the good wishes. It seems to be fine for now. And I'm a dual user...I use an HP desktop and a Macbook Pro. x3
