I was wondering what kind of bowling shoes everyone uses? I currently am using a Dexter SST 5 Comfort on my sliding (left) shoe and an SST 5 Select on my pushoff foot. I've been through 5 pushoff shoes and my slide shoe is in perfect condition. I drag my toe when I bowl and it makes my right shoe fall apart.

I believe I'm going to get the Dexter SST 8 or Brunswick Brunspro next. With interchangeable soles on both feet maybe I'll just wear out the traction sole and replace it instead of ruining the whole shoe!

I use 3G Tour Ultras and 3G shufflers on my left foot. My right shoe is a custom shoe because off my deformed foot. The 3G shoes however have a replaceable toe cap on the right shoe which would cure that problem. What size shoes do you wear as i have the right shoe from both pair brand new in a 10 1/2 tour ultra and an 11 in the shuffler

I use Etonic Stabilite Plus, and just got a pair of Etonic ESS interchangeable for back up. I like the looks of the dexters but it's so easy just worrying about 1 sole on just 1 foot.

I use Dexter SST8s and am also a toe dragger and almost wore a hole right through the upper part of my first bowling shoes. with the SST8s the traction sole will on occasion catch as the toe drags and get pulled off. You have to be careful to not put weight on that foot if the sole is doubled back on itself. The loops in the velcro will flatten out and will no longer stick to the shoe.
I usually use the same combination of soles and heels. Most often I only swap them from one side to the other to bowl with the opposite hand. They do come in handy if you bowl in many different bowling centers.
