Is this worth getting drilled.

So I'm new to bowling I have about a hundred average, now my big problem recently has been that when I try to use a house bowl heavy enough for me say 12+ lbs, but the holes are so big that my hand cramps up trying to hold the ball. So some one close to me gave me an undrilled ball, from my research I determined that its a bonanza ball or blemish ball, and I have no Idea what it is or if its just a plastic ball or whatever, so I thought maybe someone on here would recognize it. Also if its not any suggestions as to a ball to get would be nice. The scale says its 14.8 lbs

Even if it is plastic having a ball that fits your hand will be a big help. Being as it's a Bonanza it could be a Columbia or a Track Ball from the past. I would have it drilled with a generic drilling (pin at 1 o'clock) for you and give it a try

I believe that was the Columbia Bonanza Green/Blue/Yellow Sanded. I can't remember what it was a blem of though. Either way, it's better than what you've got now and it's a reactive resin ball. Get it fit for your hand you'll definitely see improvement!

Thank you for your input, also is it normal to see tiny cracks in it, maybe 2mm in length and less then thickness of a hair. I can't really feel them but I can see them if I'm looking.

It's not normal, but since it's a Bonanza ball that may be why it is a Bonanza ball, who knows what the defect was that made them label it as a Bonanza. .....Anyway don't worry about it, I still throw an old Original Danger Zone that has hair line cracks around the fingers, and I throw an old Columbia ball that is cracked around the thumb....Both balls still work just fine and I average over 200 with both, so I would not worry about it until it breaks... as in chunks start falling out of the ball....Then it's time for a new one or buy another used ball.

If the weight will work for you, then you should have it drilled. Finding properly fitting house balls are almost impossible and you will become much more consistent with your own ball. This ball will roll pretty straight but it will help you work on your accuracy and you can later think about upgrading to a ball that will fit your game better. If you don't have bowling shoes, you can consider that as well.
