<p>Based on the Brunswick C (System) alpha-max (http://www.bowlingball.com/products/bowling-balls/Brunswick/9120/C--System--alpha-max.html), I was expecting The Brunswick C (System) ulti-max (http://www.bowlingball.com/products/bowling-balls/Brunswick/9659/C--System--ulti-max.html) to be a hooking monster. Brunswick was able to make the ulti-max even more angular. I think this was accomplished with a pearlized coverstock that helps the ball easily clear the heads, going longer before making its move towards the pocket.</p> <p>The ulti-max has a great color combination that makes the bowling ball very appealing as it rolls down the lane.</p> <p>Find some oil, keep your speed up, and let this bowling ball do all the work for you. Fantastic job Brunswick.</p>

Personally, I think C-System 3.5 better than Ulti Max, because has greater back-end and hits harder (More Pin action) I could be wrong. From the video, it seemed like Ulti Max is Hyper Version between Aphal Max with C-System 4.5 mixture! However, I will give ulti max a try sometime in future. Currently I have C-System 3.5/4.5 I love them~!

I actually think the Ulti Max hits harder than the 3.5. Pins flying everywhere. Of course my Ulti Max is at least a year younger than the 3.5 and the 3.5 is due a resurfacing. I love them both though. Currently I have C-System 3.5/4.5/AlphaMax/UltiMax. Great line of balls.

I have recently purchased this ball for myself. Works wonderfully for my medium oil house lanes. I can definitely get a nice backend, great pin carry, as well as great continuation. It skids through the front effortlessly, in fact maybe too well for the conditions I'm facing week to week and my style. I took it down to a 1000 grit and didn't polish it back up. Now I get the perfect amount of length, midlane read, and backend snap that I was looking for. After adapting and some fine-tuning, I would give this ball a solid 9/10.
