Many of us have long drives to and from work each day. How do you like to pass the time sound-wise? Radio, whether it's music, sports talk or political talk; music CD's; books on tape; or just plain silence? And why do you prefer that?

I listen to talk radio most of the time. Keeps me entertained. Sometimes I just listen to nothing and write my own songs.

I listen to sports talk radio in Orlando and Jacksonville, and when those guys are talking about the Gators or some other team I don't care about, I turn to classic rock radio. At times, I listen to an easy-listening station for local weather, news, traffic and mindless 70's soft music to cruise I95 by!

I use to love to listen to Paul Harvey, but he has long since retired. :(

Mayor, where I come from, we called someone that roots for a team you don't like, that never even attended that school, a "Wal-mart (insert nickname of his team)"...such as "a Wal-mart Wolverine" or in your case, "a Wal-mart Gator", because they bought their allegiance to their team by purchasing stuff with team logos at Wal-mart, instead of actually doing the work to get a degree from said institution!!

Well, in my defense.. I turned down a full ride scholarship to go there, most of my family did attend UF and my grandfather was a season ticket holder since the 60's. So you can call me Wal-Mart whateva..

Mayor, turning down a full ride scholarship to an SEC school is like choosing not to buy a car!!

When traffic is insane driving home from work at 5pm, I turn to a classic rock station that plays hard-rocking stuff like STP and Soundgarden. I shoulda lived in Seattle, since I like grunge music so much!!

I listen to a couple local rock stations depending on my mood. 105.9/106.9 qwik rock or 93.7 the bus. Lately it has been more of the bus, but that is for their night radio show with Alice Cooper as the host.
