open mic during league bowl

hi all i just started a league witch is usbc sanction, we have a secretray that has a open mic that she
talks on during league play, like as you are sterting to bowl comes out with ,happy birthday so so or we have 2 more spots open for poker, or what ever ealse she wonts to say. IS THIS RIGHT OR AM IM JUST WAY OFF

I am the secretary for one of the leagues I bowl in, if I did this my league rep would shoot me...Never heard of this happening before.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Is it just supposed to be a fun league or is is semi-competitive?

our secretary announces everything before warm up and that makes it nice. then they announce scores over 200 after every game but not to interfer.

have you asked them to only do announcements during practice? or someother appropiate time. some bowler are uber serious when it comes to their bowling.
