All I want to do is practice. I'm determined to raise my average from 175 to 195. I know I have the skills. I just need the lane time to work on consistency, the drawback being that I can't afford to practice unless I have free game passes. And now I'm out of passes:( Why must bowling be so expensive?

For more lane time you might try subbing on some leagues, on most leagues the subs dont have to pay. Also check some other houses for deals. Like here you can pay $15 a month for unlimited open bowling. If you bowl fast try renting the lane by the hour, instead of paying by the game.

I've had to change my nights for bowling on my own to Wednesday and Thursday nights after 9 pm due to that being my house's $1 per game nights.

Subbing is a great idea, I just wish I didn't go to work at 3 or 4 AM the next day :( And when concentration is something to be practiced; hourly is not the way to go. But thank you much.

Why must bowling be so expensive?
Commercial Real Estate.
Between the lanes, pinsetters, and the mechanics area behind the pin decks, bowling takes up a lot of area. Most retail stores can generate more income per square foot than a bowling center, so they can afford to pay higher rents and drive up the cost of commercial real estate.
