You might want to take a look at the Tropical Heat from Storm, and Vibe from Hammer.

I would say the Brunswick Slingshot!

Go Slingshot. It really depends, but I think this is a great 1st ball. I have the Slingshot's predecessor and it rocks for me.

I really like the Tropical Heat and Tropical Breeze from Storm. They are really great for beginners as they aren't overly aggressive, but aggressive enough. They are controllable and predictable.

The Slingshot is also a great buy for the price.

I have the Storm Tropical Heat, and its more than enough ball for a beginner like me.

Pretty much any of the entry level balls will be good for s beginner. The Slingshot is the weekest of the bunch as far as total hook. The Cyclone is a great ball as are the Tropical Heats and Vibes. You really can't go wrong with any of them

I would say get a Storm Frantic, you won't get any more hook dollar for dollar than this ball. It's only $150-160 in a pro shop and it's a pretty dang good ball.

My first "hook" ball was an Ebonite Tornado. I recommend that one or the Tropical Storm series.

If it's your first, I'd go with the least expensive ball as they'll all give you similar performance.

theres lots of balls out ther that beginners can use but my best chose is to eather get brunswick slingshot or the columbia300 freeze there both good balls and good to learn how to bowl off of

My first ball was a slingshot and now I had it redrilled for my wife. It's the perfect beginner ball especially for price. It brings you into the game without commiting a lot of money.

You'll learn your style and still be able to afford the next ball. And trust me, there will be a next ball. ;)
