$ 5500 To Win Twin City Shootout Just Ten Days Away
FESTUS, MO, January 18, 2012 As we get set to host the second annual Twin City Shootout with over $ 20,000 on the line between two days of bowling in two different cities entries are coming in from all over the tri state area with bowlers from Ks, Ark, Il, Mo filling entries for the second edition for what we hope to build into a traditional yearly event. With 69 entries on hand at last year’s edition we hope to easily surpass that number though not part of this year’s tour but with the great turn outs we have seen with the SMBT many of the tour regulars are expected as well as many regional bowlers looking to cash in on the big prize .
With several changes made to this year’s format we are defiantly looking for bigger and better things as last year’s event took place solely @ Quonset lanes with $1200 going to winner Jesse Scrivens . This year’s event we have added a little twist with the addition of Imperial Bowl being added making this event into a two day format and creating a unique event with two totally different houses as well as boosting the prize fund as we look to grow this event. With the addition of the second house we still offer a single day pay out at each venue with a min guaranteed $1500 for first place being offered for singles as well as the addition of a doubles event this year with $800 being offered. An additional $ 900 is on the line for the Twin City Shootout Top Gun which will be determined by total qualifying pin fall between the two days. With first place money guaranteed it will make the weekend worth a possible $5500 to one lucky bowler.
Things all get started on Saturday morning @ Quonset Lanes with check in beginning @ 8:30 followed by practice across the house getting underway @ 9:30 followed by a draw for lane assignments. Bowlers will bowl 8 games of qualifying with the top 16 being looked into a match play bracket with four to a pair with the top to scores moving on in the bracket. Doubles event will consist of 8 games sweeper style with finishing positions being determined by total pin fall.
Sunday’s action gets under way with check in beginning @ 8 am with practice to begin @ 8:30 with the same format being used for both days. Singles payout will be based on a ¼ pay ratio with doubles based on 1/5 entry fee for singles is $ 95 a day or $150 for both days with doubles entry based on $ 50 a team ($25per bowler) multiple entries are allowed on the doubles
