Okay, A buddy of mine was just messaging me on Facebook. He had his league last night and he was using his nexus pearl. He didn't do so well with it and he asked me some questions, on why his ball did not do so good.

His games where 161-192-172 and he hit most of his spares.

Now about his nexus pearl, It's drilled for massive hook and he was playing on medium oil, 39 feet (THS).

What happened was his ball only slid, it never snapped back in or anything just slid down.

He throws at 15-16mph and his rev rate is 350-450 or at least some where in there. Also his shot is either straight up 10-5 board or he crosses boards from 20-10.

Can anyone think of any reasons why his nexus pearl reacted like that? Why it didn't hook like he expected it should.

thanks

My guess would be that it wasn't really sliding all the way down, it was rolling. There may have been less oil than usual and the ball burned up all its energy in the heads. My Rogue Cell would do that after they changed the oil machine where we bowl. I could only get it to hook if I threw it down the middle.

Otherwise, they put out way too much oil for a pearl ball and it just didn't have the time or the friction to make it back. That's when I'd straighten up and go right down the 6 board and see what happens.

ok i will tell him and ask him if his ball was rolling out but me and him have to bowl tomorrow soo i can see what he was doing and see his ball he cant use his solid bowling ball untill he gose and gets it fixed he got a nice big dent in it from the ball return.

well tomorrow i can lend him one of my solid balls to throw down we have same hand length and finger size other then the thumb his is alittle bigger then mine but my balls ahve abit bigger thumb holes soo i can get a smooth release
