yeah that was a good game i watched it after i bowled when i got home but that was a nice 300 by barns and belmo did really well threw 7 bt on that 8th frame he just pushed it out alittle to far if he different he could of probly kept that streak going probly right out too the 10th to make a 2nd 300 of the geico shark open

Yeah Chris Barnes was in the zone in that game glad he didn't choke in the last
game bowling against Belmo after shooting that 300 and shoot a 125 game or
something like that even though he got beat he still shot a decent game.

belmo and weber pair up now after detroit at the Roth-holman doubles. Chris got the better deal 10k and not paired with weber. :p

Belmo is an absolute beast when the pressure is on. Two-handed, one-handed.. doesn't matter. He's one of the best in the world.

mine cut out on me for the whole second game. I was flipping back and forth between that and the Subway 500, and i had a black screen for some time. When it came back, they were handing Barnes the check.

Pretty cool to see Barnes shoot that 300, you could tell that despite him rolling a bunch in his career it really meant a lot to him. But if Belmo sticks around to the 3rd game in the Eliminator format, look out!! He is just an animal when he can loft the gutter cap and play with that much angle. They commented during the show that Rash looked tired and I have to agree, he looked gassed from all the games he rolled down at the WSOB. Hell of a showing to make every show but no titles to show for it makes it a bittersweet tournament for him. I know they were taped and a lot of the drama was gone early, but the shows weren't bad. Not great, but not bad either.

yeah most people already knew that belmo was going to take it cause the shark pattern belmo has a nice shot that spreads that oil all over the lanes and not in his line cause he got high speed and high revs which help him out but gets the people that hes playing agenst not doing so well cause they can have one line and after belmo plays then that line is gone as you could see from barns

I'm not a huge 2 handed fan...but belmo is clutch...it was kinda spoiled for me though, I DVR'd it and then i stupidly checked twitter and it showed me the winner...still a great game though.
Also, if weber bowls like he did at the pba him and belmo are gonna be tough to stop.

I'm honestly sick of people saying that Barnes is a choke artist. When you compare his career to anyone else's, he's got such an upper hand on just about anyone that has made a TV show. Jason explained Chris very well and honestly, I love Chris Barnes. He played the last game very well and Belmonte just took over the lanes. Nothing you can really do about that. He lived up to his goal going into the 3rd game and he came out successful. Congratulations to both bowlers. The title match was really fun to watch until the last couple frames. That kinda stuff happens though.

I believe it's the 25th 2:30 ET espn. You have belmo weber, Duke Malott, Rash and an ametuer and two other doubles. For some reason the pba doesn't list it they show detroit then indy on the 30th.

I agree with mfein...Chris Barnes is one of my favorite bowlers. Nobody can be called a choke artist while Schafer is still rolling around.

I'm not going to lie, Schafer has gotten quite the bad breaks the last couple seasons. I still find him to be one of the bowlers starting to get his game back together and I see a couple more titles left in him. Sean Rash on the other hand has really cracked under pressure, but I appreciate him as well as a bowler. He's truly skilled and has a bright future. He is still very young and will learn and prosper.

Yeah...you could see all those second and third place finishes taking their toll at the shark, he did not look himself.

yeah there is alot o0f bad breaks on that shark pattern like barns he had a few off shots but he tryed to fix it but adjusted too much then he got into it its manily cause of him throwing that 300 game he lost consintration on where his line was and i seen he kept putting to muh hand under the ball but he did adjust at the best he can with out srewing up his game too much

Rash is definitely the worst under pressure of anyone out there right now. He is so screwed mentally. He was so good at the beginning of his career too. I do think he'll bounce back and end up with more titles than Barnes when all is said and done. Barnes definitely didn't choke in this one, he just got run over the last game. Nothing you can do about that.

This is in response to the comments about the reputations of Barnes, Rash, & Shafer. Let he or she, who has never gotten up in the tenth frame needing a good ball and for whatever reason didn't get it, cast the first stone.
Anyone remember the early days of Walter Ray's career, when he would make like every other final and finish second?

Don't know why but it makes me think of Del Ballard and him throwing the gutter ball. I liked watching him the most back then. Then the Ballard ball happened and he was never the same.

i am defently going to be watching the pba doubles on march 25th.
yeah barns has not had a good year this year he has made it on tv a few times but just loses it in the finalys like he completly forgets which line he plays i want to see barns get at least 2 titles by te end of this year dose not matter if one is a major i want to see him win at least 2 times

That is going to be one awesome show. I would have to say Belmo and PDW are the best match due to their competitiveness and clutch factors, but I really like the Malott/Duke matchup too. Norm can help Wes with staying ahead of the transition (his biggest flaw, in my opinion), and if there is a shot outside, Duke will dominate. Any one of these teams could win though.

Im sick of people saying Barnes choked. Belmo absolutely DESTROYED the oil pattern in the last game. Barnes didn't choke, Belmo just absolutely steamrolled him.

Correct I agree 100% with that
For those that has never bowled in a PBA Regional or National Tour event I can say from experience bowling
some PBA Regional Tournaments that when you have to step up in the 10th frame needing a strike to beat
your opponent it is no easy task to complete.

ress i do agreee with you barns didn't choke but he was not in his mind when he was going agenst belmo cause he just threw a 300 on tv do you think if you did that you would be soo happy that you would end up losing your line and also with belmo throwing it barns line was gone filled up with all the oil that belmo was pushing over it
