I purchased an Innovative Ball Spinner. Love it so far.
Have the new Roto Grip Defiant. Love that too. Second ball is the older Roto Grip Cell Pearl. Not real sure how to finish that one. OOB is 1500 polished. Problem for me is I'm a stroker that plays straight up 2nd arrow and at that finish, ball just slides. Thinking of sanding to 800-1000 with no polish. Ok to do?
Thanks.

First heres how to do the 1500 polished OOB.
1500-grit Polished Factory Finish
1. 500-grit Abralon® pad – Sand for 15 seconds on all four sides.
2. Grey Scotch-Brite™ pad – Sand for 40 seconds on all four sides.
3. Storm® Step Two™ – Polish lightly for 15 seconds on two sides.
(I've used other polishes, right now I'm using some lanemasters)
If that's how you have the surface and it slides too much. You could try just doing the first two steps and leave off the polish. Depending on how much it's moving in the first place.
Now I use a 800 grit surface with a light coat of polish on my equipment that has had 1500 grit polished OOB, most of the time.

As I understand things, Pearl finish balls are for when the lanes are dry or burnt. If you don't run into those conditions very often it should be fine to experiment with a coarser finish on the Cell. And now that you have a spinner, you can always change it back to O.O.B. if you need to.

First thing i would try with the Cell is knocking the polish off. Hit it with a 2000 pad and then a 4000 pad. You will be amazed at the difference

Heading to the lanes this morning. We'll see how it goes. I knocked off the polish and will see if I can get it too bite some more.
