hey guys i went bowling and have never had this happen before i have had abit of pain in the spot but never done this before.

on my right hand, the hand i bowl with right below my pointy finger on my palm the skin just pealed right off like there was a blister there it hurt abit at first when i touched the ball but after a few shots never felt it as much like a new skin just went over it fast,

my hand is a perfect fit for my ball and i had nice clean shots nothign wrong cause i had some people there watching me and bowling with me but non of them have even seen this happen before.

if anyone has any idea how this could of happened and how to prevent it the next time then share some thoughts because i dont even know what to look up on the internet about this cause im not sure what this would be called.

thanks

It's not a fit problem, It's a pivot spot on your hand created by the balls movement in your swing and release. I think it happens more with guys who spin the ball a lot.

Looks like the simplest fix is to wear a glove. How many games did you bowl before it happened?

Heres a forum thread talking about it.

I've always known this to be a good thing. The creation of a callous in this spot means that the ball is sitting more toward this side during the swing, therefore your hand is on the inside part of the ball. We know that's the position you want to be in if you want to create revolutions. But, I'm sure there are a few circumstances that could create this issue.

A glove will probably do the trick. I am now using the Brunswick Finger Saver which is just the glove part that only goes over the index finger. I wore out the material from my previous two bowling gloves on my palm and index finger. If I did not use anything on my hand, the tip of the index finger closest to the middle finger would get all jacked up.

yeah 10-in-the-pit i got a glove orders it will tkae 2 weeks to get here cause we had to order it out of another palce cause the storage she dthat we get the stuff from did not have any gloves but right know im just useing one of my old batting gloves i cut the figners and thumb out of it and im going to be going up tonight to see how it works out.

the spot that should have a callous is just finaly healed over after on sunday opening up back up again but i need to learn to stop ripping the skin off cause ik i dont feel that much pain, i got a high tolorence for pain thats how im able to still bowl with it touching the under part of the skin.
