What would be the best spinner to get and what brand pads! I am going to get one, and plan on using it mainly to polish and clean my wife's, and my bowling balls. I might after reading up on the subject try my hand at resurfacing with the sanding pads. I have seen it done severl times by the pro at our alley.
1. what brand spinner is the best for the money,

2. What cleaning compound/wax best to use on high end balls, and plastic

3. what sanding pads are the best. And what grit would you recomend

How much are we talking here in regards to get started with the above! thanks in advance for your advice.. mike

1-The main ones are Innovative, Donkee and Vertex spinners. I use a Innovative, they have the best quality. Donkee and Vertex a popular too.

2- Theres all kinds and depends on what you doing and the ball. Storm and Ebonite Powerhouse and Brunswick products are the main ones used.

3- Abralon pads are the main ones used, there are also Siaair pads. You'll also want the three main scotchbrite pads Burgandy, Gray and Green and it never hurts to have a good selection of wet/dry sandpaper.

Also get at least one C.A.B. block.

Most spinners come with a starter kit of some of this stuff or offer kits. I posted links on your blog.

Figure around $200+\- Get a 1/2 hp model

I replaced my powerhouse spinner with an innovative spinner. I like it so far.
I definately like Abralon pads the best. I use 500,1000,2000, and 4000 pads every day in my pro shop. I buy the wet/dry sandpaper at the hardware store. I recommend using 220 grit for full resurface. As for polishes, I recommend Storm products (obviously). I use step 2, step 3 and extra shine regularly. I also really like Reacta Clean.

I will say that i think the Innovative is the best out there, I have had mine for 14 years and have done thousands of balls on it with no issues. I finally had to replace the motor last fall and when i did so i updated it to a 2 speed. As for cleaners i use Tac-Up,Ebonte Power Wash, Valentino's Remedy Rx or the Motiv Gel cleaner. As for polish i use the factory polishes for the ball brand or i also use Valentino's Snake Oil and UFO
As for pads the Siar pads seem to last a little longer than Abralon
