This is a video I've been recommending all to look at. It by far will show you how the 'BIG GUNS' do it right. Enjoy. .....Bob

Glad you liked it. If there was ever anything to follow to emulate, this is the best.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5nnDbV0znE&list=PL602B4C7E733CAB55&index=2&feature=plpp_video. A video i found on youtube (Not edited by me) that i think is one of the most informative videos for bowlers these days. I feel like its a bowling lesson in its self.

The 2 handed one too ?

Either way the first video helped me to see some things in my game that need work and i've been averaging about 20 pins higher since* , (198 to 220)

*Results not typical, your performance may vary. Void where prohibited.

I'm SURE this has been posted before but I thought it would make a good topic.

What part of this has helped you the most?

I personally think this is the best amateur bowling video ever made (so far..) and recently the example of Mike Fagan's open position "playing the inside" has REALLY helped me generate revs and be more consistent in my release. Shooting 250+ in open practice every day lately.

So, which part has helped you?

Yes it has, many times. It's even a sticky in the bowling video forum.

This certainly did help. I'm been wanting to try having more hand in the ball, so I can have a little more power. I don't like the fact that I'm a lower rev player. Plus, I'm just getting back on the lanes after a few months of practicing getting out of the full roller style. I'm still a bit rusty because I've been trying to get the release locked in. I know it's thumb out first then fingers, but I get afraid of dropping the ball or not rotating the fingers all the way. I get afraid that I'm gonna muscle the hand to do the work. I just wish I can just let it go and let it work its magic. :(

The hand positions - the open hand, the differences in wrist positions - cup and uncup and the setup and swing. These are key for me, because I have a low, almost shoulder-high swing (I want it higher and am working on that), as well as more revs.

I've tried putting more hand in the ball a couple of times before. The part I have trouble with is the cupped to uncupped part at the bottom of the swing. I know a few hand positions, I've just haven't been able to get the gist of the cup to uncup part.
