Okay.. Hello my name is Eugene. Nice to meet you guys here in this forum (kinda late in the introducing myself)
Been just bowling for the past 3 months without a coach.. Learning all the things through the net and experiencing things myself.. hope to get my avg to a at least 180 for 3 games for my upcoming tournament.. Feeling super lousy right now! DAM! my avg now is only 130.

Wow, 247 posts before the introduction, that is kind of late! Don't worry, I don't believe I ever did the introduction :0
If you want, send me some video and I will break it down. What kind of oil patterns are used in Singapore? I'm asking because I've heard that due to the heat and humidity most Asian countries oil the whole lane, right to the pin deck.

I would. Knowing the pattern will help with set-up and know what to expect from each angle played. The oil is the invisible equalizer in bowling, our biggest enemy. You always want to know all you can about your enemies so you can exploit their weaknesses.

do the lanes you bowl at have a fixed time oiling the lanes? if they do, then you can check with the technicians.. and for the distance, you can just estimate it visually i think..
and here where i bowl, it's almost always THS.. from what i see, it's about 40 ft..
btw, anybody remember where the thread is where there is a comparison of the time taken for the ball to travel down the lane compared to ball speed? bill?
