Championship Weekend Up Next For The Southern Mo Bowlers Tour
FESTUS, MO May 31, 2012 Championship weekend is upon us as the Southern Missouri Bowlers Tour Presented by MOTIV closes out our inaugural season with the crowning of our tour champion along with the $2500 top prize.
Action all begins Saturday June 2, as we head to Farmington Fun Center in Farmington, Mo for second appearance action gets underway with check in beginning @ noon with tournament play to begin @ 1pm. Action moves on to Quonset Lanes in Crystal City, Mo for our season finale with $ 1000 on the line for singles as well as $500 for an optional doubles event. Action begins with check in @ 9am with tournament play @ 10am.
As we complete our championship weekend on Sunday our season will officially come to a close with the crowning of our inaugural champion as following tournament action focus will shift to our awards banquet as the top bowlers will receive there point fund checks as well as individual awards.
It has been an exciting season as we have hosted 19 events in 16 different centers carving out a path thru the show me state. Action will be focused on three bowlers this weekend as these three men head into our final 2 events separated by 20 points and with a chance to become the first ever SMBT tour champion in the process claiming the $2500 top prize that comes along with the tittle. Roy Adams of Mineral Point, Mo leads the chase with Jeremy Boyer of Desloge, Mo and Derrick Mattson of Baldwin, Mo sit tied for second all three of these bowlers have earned tour victories but with Adams controlling the title chase since the second stop of the year he looks to be determined to hold on as we head into this weekend’s action.
