Heavy Oil i would say.. It's the same grade as the Nexxus P+R

This ball is suppsed to hook earlier than most balls and be pretty aggressive. In my thinking, a ball like that would be great on longer oil patterns...

Bless you eugene and martin!!! If I do win, I would like to give it to my wife, that is a newbe... and bowling REAL well with her cyclone, but I wonder what she could do with a ball like the Vivid!! She has been doing great since moving up from her plastic ball. She is now bowling with the cyclone.... but with the Vivid, I think she would have a chance against Jason and Me! she has had this last few weeks a 212, and a 222! WHAT COULD SHE DO WITH THE VIVID??? KICK my Butt!!????

Excellent ball on heavy patterns, I say this is a great choice for a spare ball!

I think this would be a good choice, based on what has been said, as a first throw ball on heavy oil conditions. Vmaybe the one to use during the first game of a league when there is more oil on the lanes. I would think if you had it set up and drilled right that it would make a good spare ball too.

^^^^^^haha...yep. Gotta keep that pride. But if you give her this ball and she starts beating you that means you have to bring your "A" game and stop letting her beat you. That she problem I had when trying to to do some bowling with my wife. Who is not a regular bowler and could use some coaching. I was doing better then her and she got frustrated. So she quit. I still want to get her into bowling regularly with me but she hasn't shown an interest since that day.

Here's my problem Sam. I am the type of person who tries to beat my own high scores when I bowl, even in practice. It has to do with growing up and trying to beat my Dad so he would stop telling me what I was doing wrong. I hated that. I also have a tendency to tell who ever I'm bowling with during open bowl what they are doing wrong. Again that goes back to seeing my Dad do it to me. Monkey see, monkey do, so to speak. I have a good friend who use to bowl with me when we were younger. It got to the point where he wanted me to tell him so he could beat me. I think I need to have someone else teach her other than me. But if she doesn't even want to come watch me bowl, should I still try to get her into bowling? I kind of want her to say "lets go bowling and I want to learn how so I can beat you." I don't know if that will ever happen since she won't come watch me bowl. Right now I'm in a league where the top five teams get to go to a tournament in Reno. I'm hoping getting her to go with me to that sparks an interest in bowling that is laying dormant.

Wouldn't work with my wife. Once when we were open bowling, and I was using the first few frames to warm up by shooting corner pins, she started to get upset because "I wasn't trying to do my best".

I would love to learn how to lay out a ball. I've read a lot about it. I just haven't seen it done in the last 12 or 13 years.

I'm torn on this one. If I win this ball, I wouldn't mind giving to my wife. On the other hand it could be interesting to try a different grip layout on it to see what would happen. Seems like there are some interesting grips out there that cause the ball to react

Agreed Martin, I have learned more in the last month than I had in years of bowling before coming here. It would be nice to win a ball though. ;)

I know what you mean, but you could be practicing your spares or something... Just think about it, even though it sucks to lose, it sucks to bowl by yourself as well....
You have to push her to pass that milestone, and she can eventually become a better bowler as well.

The 900 Global Bank Roll is the closest thing they have to the Vivid but don't kid yourself, the Vivid is a step up from that.

I've never bowled with 900 global stuff but I can assure you the vivid has plenty of backend.

Oh it happened, I'm sure. I bet they had a bunch of "junk" posts and had to keep re-drawing. Then before they knew it, time to go home. Guess we will hear tomorrow when the new admin, whoever that is, gets in to work and remembers to post it.
Maybe the new admin is a group of people, or at least more than one person, and they each thought someone put the post up. We're all human so mishaps will happen.

Surely it was me that BowlingBoard.com was trying to get a hold of! Sorry was probably at the soup kitchen serving people that have lost it all. Some even their bowling balls, Rock Bottom, and bowling ball-less!! I also help deliver babies at the free delivery house here in kansas city, for mothers that can’t afford going to a hospital. Maybe I was making deliveries to homeless people, that don’t have food. I also might have been doing community service to help make life better for all less fortunate people that have less then two bowling balls. (My wife being One of them)! If I did win this wonderful gift from bowlingboard.com, Just know, being the care giver I am, that it would go to my beautiful one ball wife!
