Those are all bowlers representing their respected countries in the Bowling 46th World Cup
they are all from different countries I didn't see any PBA members in there...well none that
I recognized anyway that is, but I did notice some Team USA members in the video.

It shows it good but it's bad form in most instances.

just wondering, which ones are bad form? and how are they bad?

The ones where the hands are on top of the ball at the beginning of the release. When the thumb leaves the fingers should be below the half way point of the ball. The further "under" then the further under the ball you are. Watch the slo-motion vids of Tommy Jones, Sean Rash or even Mika Kovuniemi (sp).

Oh, I get what you mean, yeah, some of them didn't have good form, but they sure looked like they were destroying the pins. I'm pretty sure the bad hits were cut out, but still, some of the shots had a smooth transition.

hmm but they still do get the ball hooking well and getting good strikes..

bad form is bad form doesn't matter what the ball did or the pin count. Also depends on where it was filmed at. Some of the patterns outside the US that style is needed to hook the ball.

PDW's release comes much more off the side...interesting.

maybe this video is exactly at a place which you mean (needing to be over the ball to hook it)

The 46th world cup was held in Toulon,on the French Riviera
from the 15 to 24 of October 2010 so maybe they needed to
top the ball over there.

Is playing outside a disadvantage?

billf

NO! What would make you think that? It depends on the lane conditions. Most THS the outside is pretty dry so no problem. Some PBA and World patterns the outside is soaked. Dry=friction. friction=more hook Even if you play inside, they throw it out to the dry.
