]Do they make bowling ball sanding machines that clean, and you can select the surface you want, 350, 500, 1000, ect? Or are there machines that clean/polish/sand? Coin operated?[/B]

DAMN! It exists. If that hadn't already existed, I almost was gonna get mad at Mike for putting a potential million dollar idea out there like that!

Jason, do you want to kick in on buying one? I think we could make millions in the right location! ((wish we had one at our lanes)) (:-/

Didn't they stop having this type of machine in the bowling alleys because the machine would actually damage the ball? Or have they improved them that much?

If I ever get enough money, we will develop our own. This machine is associated with Storm. We'll make our own machine not connected to any bowling companies and we'll get it USBC approved, and place them in alleys all over the country! The million dollar dream is still alive! ;)

Those were different. The box shape looks similar. BTW, our house still has one. Ball polisher lmao

The surface factory machine works great but it is expensive. The comercial machine with bill changer is over 10g's

$10GRAND?!?!?!?! Holy cow that IS a lot for a simple machine. Make me wonder how many of these Storm has sold to bowling alleys and pro shops. I guess if the bowling alley is making a ton of money, they could justify getting one. But with the number of places that have closed its doors around me. It seems like the bowling alleys around me would be better off spending that $10 grand on something else.

Has anyone used this one before? Or, even have a bowling alley or pro shop that has one? Seems all the pro shops use a ball spinner and does it themselves.

It's Hardly a simple machine. Is $10 grand a lot? sure, but it's not a mass produced item so cost is going to be high. And y es you have to have the business to justify getting one.

Now if you think that's high, how about the $30-$40 grand the lane machine costs.

Also those machines are not necessarily bought by the alley, a lot are owned by the pro shop themselves. plus the machines are earning money back, the pro doesn't have to sit there and do a ball or have a assistant do it. Also he can wheel it outside and have it earning money when the shop is closed. You can't do that with a spinner.

One of the bowling alleys near had one. I never had to use it though, I was only there for tournaments.

There was one at Seminole lanes by the pro shop Bill Zuben had. I think it was out of order at the time, too.

Yeah Bill had one, do you know is he still there? I looked online and it had some other guys listed at the shop and I couldn't see the machine in the shop pictures.

He sold the shop to Kegel, but still worked there, then something happened that I don't know the details of, and now he works for Charlie's Pro shop. They never talk about a relationship with Kegel anymore, so I wonder what happened there, too.

The pro shop I go to actually has one and this is one of the best machines ever made it does exactly what you want idk if it's selective as to what kinds of polshing or sanding but it did a good job on resurfacing my blue vibe
