Plus in practice the tempo of play is different. I don't know if it's a duos/trios/quartet league, but if all you have to do is wait for your buddy to bowl before you bowl again, it's a bit different than if you're having to wait for an opponant to bowl as well. Different mindset, different reaction.
sounds like its as simple as "pressure".. when you are up to practice you have no cares. after all its just practice, but when league comes there is something on the line.. it is very common to shoot better in practice.. but just relax and think of your league as just another practice day and tune all the others out.. stay loose and bowl just like practice.
