Bad backend problem fixed?

After last weeks horrific carry, decided to go with the Virtual Energy right out of the gate. Thought I was on 25-26, but it turns out I ended up on 29-30, probably the best pair. Tried my straight up 6 line, and this was solid from the start. There were quite a few of us playing a similar line, so I expected transition to occur much sooner than usual. To my surprise, I did not see any transition at all, and stuck with the same line the entire night. The last game was an adventure, starting with the front 10. At this point, the entire league stopped bowling to see if I could finish off the 300. My last 300 was back in 2001, so its been quite a while and I let the nerves get the best of me as I pulled the 11th shot badly and ended up with a 3-6. Converted for a 288 and a 758 series. Think the quietness of having the whole league stop also got in my head. I'd much rather have the normal activity and noise around which for me is much less of a distraction. After these last 2 weeks, it appears the backend problem may be a thing of the past. I plan on sticking with the Virtual Energy the rest of the season, but I usually do give the NVS a shot at the beginning of practice. Actually, I could have gone with either ball last night, but the VE was giving a better light hit carry. 31-32 is on the schedule for next week, and this had been one of my favorite pair before but I think 29-30 takes the cake for now.
