After last week where we dropped 6 points we were hopping for an improvement this week, especially from Macca. He could not play as bad as last week, could he.

We start and I am off with a couple of 9 spares then an open and an 8 spare, but Macc carries on where he left off last week missing his spares, we were 15 pins down on handicap before we started against team scruff, who are 1 point above us in 4th place but we already are now some 30 pins down, it is going to be one of them nights I think.

Anyway I have another open and then a strike finishing with a strike and a spare and end the first game with a 163, at least I hit my average, Macca continued on in the same vain finishing the first game with a 114, so we lost the first game by 36 pins.

On to the 2nd game, starts better for me with a strike but then goes bad as I the have 3 splits finishing with a spare, Macca on the other hand is slightly better, at least he has picked up a couple of spares this time, but the rest of this game did not improve infact it got worse, I stared to miss spares I should have been picking up and I end with a 130, this is my worse game for months, Macca did improve slightly well at least he beat me with a 131, but again we lost this time by 42 pins. For us to even get a draw we have to beat team scruff by 78 pins, it can be done but not the way we are playing.

The third game and this time it is better I start with a strike then spare and continued in that style for the first 6 frames, the I missed a nine pin, spared then had a split, where I picked up the team one finishing with a strike and spare to finish with a 177, at least it was better. Macca again was picking up a few spares as he struggled his way to the 10th end but he improved even it was only by the smallest of margins, he ended with a 134, BUT we won at least we have 2 points, but as we only won by 27 pins not the 78 that we need so we have only got 2 points,. That is a 6 - 2 defeat.

That now puts team scruff in 4th place 5 points in front but we have now been over taken for 5th place by 1 point by phoenix.

So it is down to the last game and we could move up 2 places but we need the help of other teams now, keep your fingers crossed, in fact keep everything crossed as we need all the luck we can.
