As you may have guessed from my delay in posting, it was another unsuccessful week in my goal for a 300 game. Of course, every bowler has an excuse for why they didn't do so well, and I am no exception haha. The lanes seemed a little wet dry this week seeing as how if I threw it too far out it wouldn't react, and if I missed a little inside it would go in high. I thought I was bowling on a house shot!! Well, things went alright this week, but I was nowhere near 300 at any time. I put together a respectable 607, but I was in between balls all night and never really felt comfortable throwing anything. The lanes confused me. I thought they were breaking down after the first game when really it was just the way I was throwing the ball. Well, looks like I will be waiting another week. The first game looked promising starting with the front 4 strikes. Then in what can only be described as a momentary lapse of concentration, I fanned one really bad and it leaked into the gutter. 278, 262, 268, 259... These scores seem to be my trend in the past few nights in my men's league. Ii just started getting serious about bowling two years ago when I bowled a 240 game with a 20 year old hand-me-down ball that wasn't even drilled for my hand. Since then I have added some newer hardware to my aresenal and I feel my first 300 game coming soon.
