No not really. other than the one picture if those red lines are the track, looks like you throw a spinner, a lot of tilt on the ball maybe.

Eww.. don't want to be a spinner. I knew it looked funny but couldn't tell why. I think it's because I twist my hand too much.
Well maybe I should work on just no hand movement at all and get consistent with that.
bowl is exactly right. Hooking the ball is about lifting with your fingers while rotation slightly. Not about twisting your wrist or spinning the ball. It's possible you may need a wrist support as well. Sometimes that can really help people stop spinning the ball as much.

Most everyone on this board knows more on the subject than I do, but it does look like your ball is drilled for a pretty aggressive hook. The pin on my Misfit is directly above the finger holes. Yours looks almost directly to the side of them. I was told mine was drilled for a smoother hook. Maybe this has something to do with why you have trouble with the ball hooking left? I remember you mentioning that in another thread.
Ya... So not sure why it was drilled that way exactly, assumed it was a weak ball maybe?
You have to throw it correctly before worrying about how it's drilled. That ball will hook and is drilled to hook and will do so very nicely when thrown correctly. Concentrate on just rotating your two fingers at the release. This will help to train your brain not to turn your wrist. If I can get the time this weekend I will record a couple of easy to learn hooks/releases so you can see some drills to get there.

Yeah. I can definitely "just let go" (while lifting with the fingers).. It's the paranoia that I don't have enough sideroll that's getting to my head. Though yesterday it could have just been because I was trying to use muscle..
