you keep whatever works for you in my opinion. Whatever is most comfortable. I have different grips in almost all of my equipment but its just a personal preference.
I have two balls (three really but one is a pound lighter and different driller), a pearl/hybrid as a strike ball and a polyester spare ball.
The strike ball's ring finger fits in that I can put my finger tip in it but not my knuckle so it doesn't let me put the rim up to the crease exactly loose. More grippy. The spare ball's ring finger is a size (vise grips size) larger and is loose and I can fit it in comfortably.
Should I change? Which should I keep?
If you are in between two sizes, do you keep the smaller size or bigger?

Your grips should all fit the same, so you have the same feel ball to ball.
But It's personal preference, if one is too tight. Just open it up some or replace it.
Me I'd go smaller then open the grip up some.If you are in between two sizes, do you keep the smaller size or bigger?
Also you can try a different brand of insert like Turbo grips

The grip and feel should be the same for every ball in your arsenal. I prefer a grip that is not too tight as a tighter grip causes you to build up callouses that will make your grips tighter and tighter...

I ended up just grinding down the tighter one to feel looser. Seems to work fine. I can always replace them later on.
I was just wondering if fingertip inserts are supposed to be snug like the thumb. It seems like the thumb is the main grab-your-hand part.
Size of tips is a personal preference and can take some time to find the right feel. I like mine snug but have gone too tight and ended up with callouses. They start with a burning sensation when you lift out of the ball. That's the first sign it's a tad too tight.

Since you are using Vise they offer grips in half sizes or 64ths so it should be no [roblem to get a good fit
