Default Hell Raiser with pin cracking and ridge between pin and cover

Hey all I got to noticing the other night that my original Hell raiser has
several cracks across the pin and I can feel a very slight ridge forming
between the pin and the cover. I'm not really sure if it is anything to be
worried about or not maybe I'm just being paranoid since it is just the pin
cracking and a small ridge forming between it and the cover. I snapped a
couple of pics of it to see what everyone else thinks before I'll even consider
contacting DV8 over it as it doesn't really seem like that big of a deal.

The pics were taken with my el-cheapo cell phone so they are not the best
but maybe you can see what I'm talking about.

Bill, I would send them to DV8/Brunswick. info@DV8bowling.com and ask them their opinion on whether it's something to worry about. They have been extremely helpful to me on several issues since I first contacted them in February. That was about logo information, not the cracked ball btw.

Okay I heard back from them today here is what they had to say about a cracked pin
I kind of thought that would be what they said guess I was just being a little bit on
the paranoid side I didn't think it would hurt anything but just to be on the safe side.

At least I received a quick response from Brunswick/DV8 a lot quicker then some of
the other bowling ball manufactures I've had to contact in the past.

With the crack only being in the pin, there is nothing to worry about at this time. The pin is actually a different material from the ball's coverstock, and it does crack from time to time. This will very rarely expand into the coverstock of the bowling ball, and it will not cause any problems with the ball performance. Your ball is covered by a 2-year warranty so please keep an eye on the crack. If it does happen to expand into the coverstock, please return it to the pro shop where it was purchased to discussed the warranty claim. At this point, the ball is fine and will likely provide you with many more games of high scores.

If you have any additional questions, please contact me.

    Thanks,
    Brian

You buy the warranty Striker, not win it lol Just email them within 2 years of it's release date of Jan 24, 2012 and you will be ok

    Bill,
Glad to see you got a quick response.
