Thread: Recommend me a ball!

    Default Recommend me a ball!

The only issue is, it has to be a Brunswick ball. The team that I'm on (college) is sponsored by Brunswick therefore the only balls we can use for tournaments are Brunswick balls. I've already got the Marauder in my bag for the long patterns now I'm just looking for something that will be good for the short patterns. Oh, and it must be one of their new releases. I know, picky picky. So yeah, what should I get?

I suppose short patterns means need dry - med oil ball? Do correct me.. if so.. why not the NEWEST NexXxus P+S. It's meant for medium oil lanes..

It would help if you told how you bowl. Cranker stroker low, med, high revs speed etc.

But I'll throw one out there a:

    Brunswick Karma Urethane

Be good for drier and/or shorter patterns. Give a good consistent reaction.

The DV8 line is by Brunswick.

Wow, given most of the answers I can tell who has little to no experience on sport patterns. I would recommend the Karma also. I love urethane on short patterns. Another option may be the Misfit although judging by your long oil ball it may be too aggressive on a short pattern for you. How about a Slingshot?

He said it had to be one of their newer releases. The Slingshot may have been around too long.

Do you know what exact shots you will be on? Kegel Sport or challenge patterns WTBA Short patterns Or PBA Patterns... something i read said balls made for heavy oil are good for shorter patterns because they control the friction by using their energy early. Billf was right about the slingshot it would have been a great choice.
