Yes, get out a 25lb dumb bell between sessions and do do curls...It'll do ya good...

I'm getting in to the habit of doing this and I've noticed a difference. Maybe it's just in my head, but I think I get more hook when I clean the ball between shots.
So my question is, how do you clean the ball? Not what type of material do you use, but how do you physically do it? I hold the towel in my right hand and use my left hand to "spin" the ball on it. The problem, while not a huge deal, is that after a couple games my right arm started to feel tired. I figured out it was from all the extra work I'm doing with it now that I'm wiping the ball on a regular basis.
So, is there a much easier method I'm not using?

Yeah exercise, if your arm is getting tired from wiping the ball off. In the mean time if theres a desk by the monitor sit it on that while you wipe or leave it on the rack and wipe it before you pick it up.
Believe it or not, I have a 20lb. one at home just for doing that. for bowling.Yes, get out a 25lb dumb bell between sessions and do do curls...

It gives feedback when you get the movements right and wrong.
I found it at my local Big 5 sporting good store for $29.95, or $19.95 without the electric starter.
Look at it this way. The path of oil on the ball is only so wide around the circumference of the ball, less than a couple inches in fact. This is the "track". Identify it then when removing the oil hold the ball in the hand of choice and wipe the track. Spinning it just distributes the oil around the entire ball or there abouts. Not a deal killer as it is not in the track but why spin the ball so much to cause fatique. I hold my ball in a certain manner to allow the track to be exposed then run the towel over the track a couple swipes, walla..done. Also you are not going to get all the oil off, especially if the towel is saturated, this will just spread the oil rather than soak it up. Now before someone goes ballistic about saturated, not that the towel is dripping wet with oil but a towel will only be able to absorb so much before it starts to repell oil, at this point it is only redistributing it around the ball surface.![]()

Good tips, thanks! Looks like I need to get a dumbell to sculpt the guns a little bit lol. That's probably something I need to do anyway, regardless of how it will help me in bowling :-)

panbanger another thing that dose help with building arm stregth with out having to get a dumbell or anything is put your hand in your bowling ball and lift it up soo your arm is streght with your sholder and try to hold on to the ball as long as u cna but if u do feel like u are getting weaker then let it down u dont want to over do you it puts enoph stregth in your arm soo then u will beable to hold your bowling ball longer i do this abit every 2 weeks and it gets my arm in shape i can hold my 15lb bowling ball for 6min 38seconds and it increases the more i do it use to be 52 seconds after a month i got it to that.
