Thread: New Ball Time.

  1. #1

    Default New Ball Time.

So its that time to upgrade to a new ball. Obviously I don't want anything similar (to my Freeze) and I want something that I can throw my normal speed (15-16 mph) instead of slowing down my freeze to almost 13 mph. I have lost some revs over the summer but I have gotten stronger and getting back into my cranking days. I do not know which ball would suit me the best. By looks, I love the Endure and it has good length. I need something that I can throw 15-16 mph and know it won't carry on me and it will do something. I don't care at this point, since I have only had one ball, what company it is from. I am a 175 avg bowler and I want to really improve on this average during league which starts the 9th. Thank you.

I have the Roto Grip beserk and just love the way it moves since I took it down to 2000 with polish. Without knowing the conditions you bowl on I can only suggest these other balls as well as the beserk. Roto Grip beserk or Shatter,Brunswick C-System Maxxed Out,Columbia Violent Eruption,Ebonite Endure,Storm !Q Tour.

    Hope this selection was helpful!

Seriously though I know you want a new ball for league but like Zothen said without knowing how the conditions are going to be your not going to be sure on what ball you willneed/want.

well if you want a new ball go and talk to he guy at your pro shop let him watch how ou bowl and he can decide witch ball you should get but in this case u should go with a agressive ball cause u sead u have lost revs and throw at 15-16mph you should tkae a look at the critical theory or the theory they both have nice length on them, i dont have eather one but im planning on getting a critical theory soon ater i get a frantic.

and when i goto throw the critical theory ik how im getting it drilled i will be standing on the 2nd dot from the left and im going to aim at the 3rd arrow and i can push it out acorss the lane and it will come right back in ik this cause i have thrown my buddys and thats on heavy oil if the oil starts to burn up i start to move left if lanes are too dry for me where its getting hard to get the ball to hit the pocket from going over the left gutter then i would grab my c300 freeze out.

but it depends on witch ball you want me i like agressive bowling balls i can controll them ik how to take abit off and put some on and that is my line and i throw about 16-18mph and have high revs sooo for you u would jsut have tomove right abit from where i am.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. He is a stated cranker with a speed around 16 mph with average revs. average revs for a cranker are more than a high revving stroker. What more do you want to know? He can adjust for the type of lane (wood vs the different synthetics). Oil condition? Most of us don't know what those will be until we get to the center (unless it's a league with a THS) so how can you expect to have that ahead of time? Most people with only one ball are still just shooting leagues on a THS so go with the percentages.

Both of these balls are polished with symmetrical cores. The polish will help you go through the heads clean while the symmetrical core keeps the shape of the hook rounded. Having this shape helps keep the ball from being jumpy and/or unpredictable.

Storm IQ and IQ Tour; too much ball for this style of player
The other balls Zothen mentioned would also work with your style assuming the other variables are in the normal range.
