I would say length wise I'm where Norm Duke is, a bit on the short side.
So when I watch Norm Duke

or even Mika who is much taller
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tcz2hMBz4w
They have a give it away pushaway; the arm extends/flattens and it's as if they are giving the ball away to someone
Then you have sean rash and chris barnes

who just let it fall albeit from a higher position
For my slow speed, Duke/Mika's approach makes more sense to me.

It's just as Bowl1820 stated on this thread and also the other one......every person is built differently, has different balance points and needs to find the area that's "MOST COMFORTABLE" for them. We as coaches cannot and should not try to have each bowler com for to one unique style. A good coach will work with the individual based on that persons capabilities.

For a third style check out Rhino Page's approach and release.
Try them all for a good period of time and choose what works best for you. I practice all three styles. Then if on a league night if stuff isn't working I can go to something that feels better that particular night.

Good point Bill, you need to be able to adjust various things in your style if the conditions warrant. Practicing different styles can definitely help, for instance ever have a nite when things "just didn't feel right" ? A slight change is something that can possibly make things a little better.
