Welcome to the boards!
Hi all. First, about me. I'm a recreational bowler, I'm in a league, but it's not a very competitive league. We have fun, drink, and occasionally actually bowl lol. I dont use my thumb, I've heard it's looked down on, but I don't really care about that. I use a 14lbs Freeze. Not looking to become a pro, just want to get better. So, hello, and hope I don't ask too many stupid questions.
welcome to the board and no question is stupid if you dont know something just ask and someone will help you.

Welcome to the forum, im sure you will find any help you may need here
Thanks guys, I've been bowling for a few years on and off. This is my second year in this league. I'm want to get a new ball, something stronger. I hook the ball a lot, so if I buy a high powered ball, will it hook even more? If that's the case, am I better off getting a middle priced ball?
i would suggest a DV8 Marauder or the Hellraiser Revenge
A Marauder huh? Well I happen to know where they're giving one away. Come on lucky rabbits foot, do your thing!
The Revenge would be WAY too strong. As would the Terror. Most thumbless bowlers generate a ton of revs and hook. The Too Reckless, Reckless or Marauder would work well on a THS. Welcome to the forum.

Bill with my experience on the Reckless, I've noticed that for 2 fingers, it's a huge hook at first at the backend
So I've started to play towards the middle now, around 19th board throw it towards the 3rd arrow at an angle so it stay's on the 2nd arrow and then it snaps back into the pocket.
Still having trouble controlling it, but I'm taming that monster little by little. haha
