Default Got my Modern Marvel tonight :D

    Smells nice.

Is it okay if I get it drilled with a generic PAP or neutral layout, or can that potentially ruin the reaction?

Yes you can have the ball drilled with a generic PAP
or have what we call a safe drill done on it but why
in the world would you want to do that to a ball like
    the Storm Modern Marvel?

As for the reaction it will just be a generic reacting ball
if it has no fine tuning and I wouldn't want to waste a
    nice ball like that myself.

Because I want to start bowling with it but have absolutely no consistent release yet :/

But if I weren't to do generic then how would I choose what I want it to do?

Great ball! Keep it clean and you will really like it for a long time. as for the generic PAP, I would say find your PAP using a different ball then get that baby drilled up. Doing otherwise would seem to me like using a brand new BMW 7 series as a tractor...

I suggest drilling it for length with controlled backend.

I didn't realize balls were that sensitive to layout. I just worry that over time if I change how I release the ball (hopefully better) it will ruin the ball's layout.

I like that video.. I thought it was going to criticize pro shops for not doing layouts but it basically emphasized it won't matter for me.

Got my ball drilled tonight. He put a balance hole in it too. Feels great, I'm so happy there is a good driller in my town.
