I just purchased the Storm 1 Spare ball, and had it drilled by the X pro last week! I notice clearly its tracking over the center of the thumb hole!! Was it drilled wrong for me! He has seen me bowl, and knows my style of bowling,,,????
I would talk to him. When pro shops get a ball with a strange pin placement, wrong top weight needed, etc, etc, they are allowed through their ball rep, to exchange the ball for what is needed/wanted. It's should be an advantage over buying on the internet when the shop actually takes the time to provide true customer service.

Driller said it looked to him like belt mark! If it is, it wouldn’t come off even with good ball cleaner,,, maybe it marred the surface! Anyway it’s just a spare ball. Works great on getting that 10 pin… 80 percent now, instead of 50/60!! lol
If you are throwing your spare ball flat there is a chance you could be tracking over the thumb hole. I know when I break out my spare ball the track is usually over the fingers. I think I have heard and even read here that it's called a "full roller" style.
