Thread: I'm looking for a replacement for the Hammer black widow nasty with the same reaction

Default I'm looking for a replacement for the Hammer black widow nasty with the same reaction

I used to love the black widow, but I switched over to the Plague after my house went from wood to synthetic. I'd like to take a shot at getting that same kind of ball reaction again, with some new equipment. The plague has been really good for me, but the nasty used to snap and destroy the pins so late that it was way too much fun. Anyone know of a newer ball that might offer that same kind of reaction?

The shot at the 41 second mark of the first video is exactly the reaction I want.

well its kinda hard to say what ball if good for a replacement because you nver stated what your speed/rev rate/tilt/and other stuff.

if you give some of those thigns we might beable to help you out abit better but if anything you should go with eather the DV8 hell raiser or the brunswick nexxus there my only choices due to not knowing your stuff.

    Hi Andy,

First off, welcome to the forum!

As for your ball, if you could record a video of how you throw the ball it would help us figure out what ball you would need or if it is even possible.

Also, the main thing to think about in this case is that you shouldn't be trying to mimic a video, based on your style, you will need to bowl a different line from somebody else using the exact same ball.

I had been using a widow sting for years until recently it lost its "sting" I replaced it today with the newest taboo (purple) and it was that same feeling all over again! It's the best ball I've ever thrown and had much more snap then the nexus p-r I recently gave a whirl.

If you're looking for length and snap, try the Brunswick C System Maxxed Out. Very happy with mine...

Hammer's Taboo line uses the same core as the Widows. The Purple, Black, or Electric Blue should provide the same look provided it's drilled the same as your Widow Nasty.
